aloo is simple to use, but security is thought through down to the last detail.

Is aloo really free?

Yes. The Start version is free for communication with up to 6 people, with no ads and no data collection. For more people, you’ll need the Professional version.

Do you store my messages or metadata?
No. We don’t use the cloud and do not store messages or metadata. Communication stays only between devices.
What if I lose my phone?
Without biometrics, no one can access your account. You’ll need to register a new device, and your message history does not transfer.
Can I use aloo on a computer?

Not yet. We are prioritizing development of the mobile app.

How do groups work?
Groups are fully encrypted, and invitations are exchanged securely between devices. No one else has access.
